Of the many problems I thought of solving, I ended up choosing to help pet owners find their companions when they run away from home, a problem many families face. I always feel bad when I see friends posting that they lost their best friends. The grief they feel is so intense it ends up touching me, as well.
Tracking the animal?
Creating an app with a database of lost and found animals, to try and optimize the act of searching for them?
I’ve thought up all of these solutions, but I still don’t know where to begin. I know of a few trackable dog collars, but I don’t like any of them. They’re ugly and not very accurate on the pet’s location.
The app seems like a good idea to me, but it might not be efficient enough. Besides, it’s more financially viable than the others, but who would pay for it? I feel like this sort of help should be free. Donations might be an option, but would they make this viable? Would you donate money to try and help your dog?
Currently, the chip doesn’t do tracking, it just stores information. Could it be possible to create a trackable subdermal chip? Would it affect the animal’s health?
These are just some of the questions I have about this. What do you think I should do? Let’s discuss this to find a solution and find our pets as quickly as possible!
